In this Musical Theatre Performance Club class is featuring: "Madagascar" students have the privilege to be directed by Lyric Rose Theatre, In Musical Theatre Performance Club, we will work on all 3 aspects of Musical Theatre, Singing, Dancing, and Acting. We will spend our time on one or possibly multiple Chorus
numbers from “Madagascar Junior”, depending on the ability of the students we will most
likely work on 1-2 numbers for our final performance will be at 7 Hills in the Middle School
Production of “Madagascar Junior”. This will include weekly vocal and movement exercises
as well as character work dependent upon which Chorus numbers are suitable for the group
as a collective. (20 students maximum).

Instructor: David Endacott-Hicks, is the Artistic Director and the President of the Board at The Lyric Rose Theatre. He was born and spent his early years in California where he completed a Bachelor's of
Music from the University of the Pacific, Conservatory of Music. Graduate training brought him tothe East Coast where he attended and studied at the New England Conservatory of Music, as a
Vocal Performance major. He has been a Principal Performer on and off Broadway, in East and
West Coast National Tours and has performed professionally with several Opera companies.
In addition, David has performed in many local and national Commercials, Student Films as well as
been a Resident Guest Entertainer throughout the Mediterranean, Baltic, Atlantic and Caribbean.
He has performed as a soloist in many ensembles, including two European Tours, in which he was
not only a performer but also an Assistant Conductor.
David teaches private voice and has Music Directed and Stage Directed for many companies on the
East and West Coasts. He has also taught Music at several private music schools at which he was
promoted to Music Director, General Manger and ultimately Regional Director of Northern
California.
