About Us

The Nevada City School District is nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills and is home to students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. We are committed to provide an environment in which all students learn and achieve to the best of their abilities and talents; become life-long, enthusiastic learners; and develop a positive self-concept and sense of responsibility. We are a Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) District and received the 2019 Innovation Award for the Foothills Fresh Program with Sierra Harvest.
