NOTICE OF VACANCY AND PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT
Nevada City School District
A vacancy on the Nevada City School District Board of Trustees occurred
upon the resignation of Joshua Pack. The letter was received
on November 18, 2025, with an effective date of November 19, 2025.
The Nevada City School District has provisionally appointed
Steven McFarlane as a trustee at the regular Board meeting on
December 9, 2025.
This statement notifies the voters that unless a petition calling for a
special election pursuant to Education Code Section 5091 ref. GC 606
is filed in the office of the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools within 30 days of
the provisional appointment, it shall become an effective appointment.
