3. SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED: Closure may be due to bad weather conditions or power outages. In the event of a power outage some schools may remain open. Appropriate announcements will be made on KNCO and KVMR, the District website, and you will be notified by phone, email and/or text message. *NOTE: If you are not receiving these notifications please update your Emergency Card in the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Because of the difficulty in contacting parents, early dismissal will take place only in an emergency. In the case of early dismissal, an announcement of release time will be made on KNCO (AM 830) and KVMR(FM 89.5) at least 30 minutes prior to dismissal.
