Broadway Bonanza Dance

In this Class students will  "Embark on a theatrical adventure with our 'Broadway Bound Dance Class' for young performers, where every step is a story and every move is magic. In this immersive class, young dancers will explore the enchanting world of Broadway, learning vibrant choreography and expressive storytelling through dance. Our nurturing instructors, Judy and Sky, will guide these budding stars in developing dance skills, creativity, and confidence, all while having a blast with their peers. The journey culminates in a joyous showcase, where they'll share their newfound love for the stage. Ignite your child's passion for performing arts and watch them shine in 'Broadway Bound Dance Class'!"

 Instructor: Sky Seals is a 20-year member of Actor's Equity, the stage actors Union. He has performed Off-Broadway. and on Tony Award-winning stages across the country. Sky won the Bay Area Theater Award for Best Actor in 2017. While Sky was a 12-year resident of New York City, he co-founded the theater company, Locally, Sky performed in, and was the Composer and Music Director of "Gold Can't Love You Back" Musical presented at the Stone House. Sky has also taught many workshops for young performers with Lyric Rose Theatre, and co-directing at the School for the Arts. This Summer, Sky is currently directing a musical production at the Nevada Theater. He teaches private voice, piano, and guitar lessons, and just loves passing on his passion for music and theater to kids and adults alike!

Assistant Instructor: Judy Merrick Now a resident of Nevada City, Judy worked for 13 years in New York City theater as a performer and director, most notably as assistant director for a Broadway production. , Judy has been seen at the Nevada Theater. she won Broadway worlds Sacramento’s BEST LEADING ACTRESS IN A PLAY.  , She is and has been a Co-Director with Lyric Rose Theatre in many Productions. Judy has a BFA from USC and has trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts London and AADA in NYC. Judy teaches improv to kids and adults, and is currently very active with the Lyric Rose camps and education projects. She is also a Board member with Lyric Rose Theatre.
