Tracy Green Named 2013-14 Teacher Who Makes a Difference

Tracy Green welcomes her students with a smile and cheerful demeanor every day. Students enter her room looking forward to their day and the activities she has carefully planned. Her structured, clear, predictable procedures and expectations create an environment where kids feel safe and successful. With gentle guidance, she weaves experiences that incorporate all the elements of an effective classroom. Students respond to her soft-spoken personality and patience. Every child in her classroom feels special, cared for, and can feel the confidence she has in them. The rapport she establishes with students and families early on creates a sense of community. Tracy is a dedicated hard worker and team player that is always willing to help.

Tracy is a mother of twins attending University of Utah. Their family participates in many outdoor adventures together including skiing and backpacking. Currently she teaches second grade, but has been willing to teach seventh grade humanities and fifth grade. A few years ago, she had students and parents help replant and beautify an area in front of Seven Hills School. Those students still talk about how much fun they had and how proud they were of their contribution. Without a doubt, Tracy Green is a teacher who makes a difference in our school community! Thank you for all you do, Tracy!
